Broadway Bound:
An exciting new adventure for the Newton Country Players.....We will present our first class “Broadway Bound” this fall offering a unique experience for children in grades 4-8! All students will benefit as they engage in activities geared towards a well-balanced understanding of the art of musical theater performance from seasoned teachers and performers.
The class will culminate in a production to be performed for family and friends at the lovely MassBay Community College Theater. All students will collaborate on this musical theater production, featuring songs from a variety of musical scores including "Hairspray," "Beauty and the Beast," "Sweeney Todd," "The Little Mermaid," "Annie" and many more. Don't miss this opportunity to expose your budding performer to the arts in a low-pressure, collaborative, energetic and incredibly fun atmosphere!

This show will be directed by Chrissy Lamont, music directed by Christine Kasparian, and choreographed by Elaine Hom. For more information, visit the Broadway Bound page.

I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change
(book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music by Jimmy Roberts):
This show is presented in the form of a series of vignettes connected by the central theme of love and relationships. The play's tagline is "Everything you have ever secretly thought about dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives and in-laws, but were afraid to admit."

This show will be directed by Becky Webber and music directed by Matt Stern.

Into the Woods (music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine):
When a Baker and his Wife learn they've been cursed with childlessness by the Witch next door, they embark on a quest for the special objects required to break the spell, swindling, lying to and stealing from Cinderella, Little Red, Rapunzel and Jack (the one who climbed the beanstalk). The show is a moving lesson about community responsibility and the stories we tell our children.

This show will be directed and choreographed by Laura Espy and music directed by Art Finstein.
